ACCESSIBILITY
Nova Cinema is committed to offering an out-of-this-world cinema experience for everyone. The information below can be used to make your next visit to Nova as smooth as possible.
ONLINE BOOKING
Accessible seats can be reserved online or in person and accompanying carers are eligible for a free ticket. Simply select an access rate ticket and this will allow you to book a second carers ticket free of charge. Advance booking is recommended.
Access tickets come with a companion ticket; a CEA Card or Access Card with +1 symbol will be required on entry.
ACCESS SCREENINGS AND TECHNOLOGY
We offer subtitled and relaxed screenings regularly. Please find more information about each of our accessible screenings below.
DOLBY CAPTIVIEW (CC)
This closed captioned system offers the option of personal subtitles without the need to come to a specific subtitled screening. This technology will work from any seat in all of our seven screens.
The device consists of a small LED screen, displaying subtitles, on a manoeuvrable support arm which attaches to your cinema seat cup holder. The privacy visor means that it can be positioned directly in front of you with minimal distraction to the surrounding cinema audience.
Only available for select screenings, please look out of 'CC' listed next to films where this is an option.
No booking of equipment required, please speak to a member of staff when you arrive. Limited availability.
AUDIO DESCRIPTION (AD)
Dolby Fidelio technology is available for audiences with visual impairments. The wireless audio system, delivered via a small receiver pack, offers an audio-descriptive track both through headphones. Dolby Fidelio guarantees a strong, even signal wherever you sit. It is recommended you bring your own earphones or headphones with a standard 3.5mm connection, however we can provide a set if required.
Audio description is available on selected films.
